I am sitting here at the Imperial Swan and hubbie just came out and said he got a job!! So excited! They told him he would be in Dickinson but they were gonna fly him in and out of North Dakota. They were also hiring for Texas at $10.00, North Dakota at $21.00 an hour
That's terrible. No job fair around here has ever been operated like that. Good luck finding 500 experience people willing to change jobs right now. If they are experienced they are already working and wouldn't go to a job fair.
So I wonder if these were Baker Hughes people or just hired hands?

Congratulations! And I'm glad he got on in North Dakota. Who wants to put up with the equally brutal weather conditions of Texas for $10 an hour?
Juan, Pedro, Hector, Angel, Miguel, Julio, Raul, Jose, Lupe, but not Alejandro.
Maybe I should rephrase that for clarity. All things considered, no one wants to get paid $10 and hour if they can get paid $21 an hour, unless for some reason that is their only option.
Of the first group of 30 they interviewed only saw 2 Mexican guys get hired...?????
WTF !
golfer so sorry that happened to you, they sound like the people I talked on the phone for the Mile High job fair, oh wait it was not a job fair but a hiring event.....
So what doess this quote mean exactly? Are you Mexican?
That is HORRIBLE!!! Am sure those texas workers will want to be transferring come summer, lol.....
My husband is a Jose and no no no trabajando por $10, no way Jose!!!!LOL
LOL! An acquaintance of mine was in Texas last summer and came back muttering "never again. never again."
