I did check out his website lol. He's got about zero chance of getting an event permit (liquor) so far. I wouldn't have started advertising without that personally. The advance notice gives the community plenty of time to put the skids on this project before it gets rolling. That said, I hope they pull it off cuz we've got quite the crew lined up already to observe. It's gonna be potluck

I heard about this a few months back. I can't believe this guy is really going through with it. 4000-5000 people. He can't be serious. I'm sure the county will be all over this thing now. No liquor license or insurance....no oilfield speed dating happenin 'round these parts.

Some women from Chicago are interested? Yeah I can imagine.

Add to the list of things I never thought I'd see here.
I will even buy a new set of binoculars for the event and bring steaks along with to share and watch with ya!

Well, I think something along the battle of the bands type of thing would be really fun around here. I just don't see something like this actually working out for him. Then again even if he don't get the right licenses and such he will probably still do it...people can get away with a lot of crud now a days around western ND.

His website was down last time I looked. He's not going to have any luck getting it going in McKenzie County like he planned. The Sheriff is still laughing about it, says no way in hell is something like that going to happen here. My neighbor's getting kind of sick of the ribbing he's getting over supposedly giving the guy permission to use his land too lol. He did go around contacting local businesses for a while trying to drum up interest/sponsors. Didn't work very well
