This reminds me of Mantua, UT... Pronounced Mannaway. Or Tooele which is pronounced toowilla.

Wow, lived in ND most of my life and have always called it MY-NOT. No one from this area would ever call it MIN-OH, honestly. I have heard MINE-IT, though, but that was before I lived in Minot.
