Both cities have an abundance of jobs. Fargo has a much lower cost of living than Bismarck and tends to pay slightly better. The cities themselves offer much different atmospheres, however. Fargo skews younger and more liberal than Bismarck, but Bismarck seems more family-oriented. In the past, Fargo was more hustle and bustle, but Bismarck has seen exceptional growth lately.
Hi Yal,
I'm seriously thinking about coming out to Fargo or Bismarck in March
railer).
My question is how long do you think it will take me to find a job out there?
I don't know anybody in ND as I'm from OR.
I think I plan on working general labor in janitorial, food service, grocery, or whatever else is available. I have my plans/goals relating to money out there, not to mention the experience would be awesome
Have a great day
jj85 we need an update, did you get out this way yet.
Fargo is the most cosmopolitan, booming city in the state. You would probably have several job offers pretty quickly. The cost of renting an apartment is not high in Fargo, but might be even lower in West Fargo, or Moorhead on the Minnesota side.
