My husband and I are weighing heavily a decision between staying in a place we love and taking a rare opportunity to move back closer to our families. We would live in Bismarck, if we did this, and while I can go on Great Schools and see quick ratings, I also know there is way more to a school than what that website might say. I am wondering if anyone can give any input regarding schools in the area? It seems Centennial Elementary is rated as most desired, but it would be nice to know why that is? Is this based only on standardized test scores? I know these scores are not exclusively reflective of quality of teachers and place much more importance on thoughtful, caring educators that consider the whole child, not just test performance.
Anyway - if anyone has anything they feel would be important for us to consider, positive or negative, I'd appreciate your input! Thanks in advance!
Bismarck offers great schools, both private and public. Several of the area schools are National Blue Ribbon recipients. Quite honestly, all schools are about equal in terms in quality education. Centennial happens to be one of the newer schools, that's about it.
