The tiny town of Ross has grown from 50 to 600. "Ross itself has become an important destination for train freight, with more than 10,000 rail cars a year coming and going from Woodbury’s Dakota Quality Grain, Bakken Transload’s frack sand, propane and oil pipe yard, United Agronomy’s fertilizer plant, Columbia Grain and CTAP LLC oil field services."
