Jim, I'm surprised you haven't found anything with all the opengings in the service industry in western ND. Or maybe you haven't checked into them yet? I know there are many service companies in the Williston area looking for help. Halliburton, Schlumberger, Sanjel, I heard Knight oil is hiring for their new office opening up in Williston...there are lots of energy jobs open from Williston to Minot to Dickinson areas. I agree with magiccity...check out the job service ND.

My husband and I live in California but my husband hasn't been able to find a job. My uncle lives in ND and was telling us about the oil field jobs. When I look online though all the jobs I've found say they start at $15 or $16 an hour. Can someone please let me know where else I should be looking or somewhere I can call because I know there are jobs that make more than that because I don't want to relocate for $30,000 a year. Thank you.

I am not from California but I would think 30,000.00/yr in North Dakota is about the same as 60,000.00 plus in California because of living expenses, land values, ect.

I moved from Indianapolis,IN to South Kentucky and 1500.00/month goes a lot farther here than there. Houses that rented for 900/mo in Indy go for 400/mo here.
