Living outside of Bismarck?

Thanks. Yeah, we knocked out just under 3300 total miles in 4.5 days. We really didnt do either state or any of the cities the due time it deserved but we wanted to see everything we could. Were hoping to go back again in the fall/winter and take a more in depth look at a few places and maybe go see a few other of the more northern cities of ND.

We probably should've checked out TR park and the Badlands there. Will have to catch it next trip. Is there anything that seperates the two?

Theodore Roosevelt National Park website has some photos of the badlands that may help you compare to the South Dakota badlands, and decide if you want to visit: Theodore Roosevelt National Park - Welcome

Another city you may wish to visit on a winter return trip is Yankton, SD. The population is very similar to Pierre, and although it has been many years since I visited, I remember a very nice city with a beautiful setting along the Missouri River.
