Not from Williston, but your best bet is Williston. That is where most of the new companies are opening up offices and shops. There are new oil companies opening up weekly in that town. If you go to the Williston Herald (on-line paid version or to the library to read the real paper)...you will see what I mean. Dickinson is busy as is Minot, but because Williston is smack in the middle of the Bakken most are building there. Someone said they are going there because if you draw the radius circle from Williston, you pretty much cover the entire Bakken area...70 miles is nothing for some of these companies to drive on a daily basis. Williston has over 170 oil service comanies based there. Based out of Dickinson or Minot, you would have to drive 140 miles or more to reach some areas.
Dickinson and Minot are in areas that are busy though (north of Dickinson in Dunn county, and west of Minot in Mountrail county)

Reason: adding info
I found this site on the web. It is the Williston, ND homepage. Within the site, is the Williston Life web site that lists numerous oil field related jobs that are available in the Williston Basin.
Does anyone know of any companies in ND or the rest of the US where there are floorhand/roughneck jobs for people with associates degrees and little experiance?
Can someone help me please? My fiance has a qualification that is higher than an associates degree a diploma in mechanical engineering, aero engineering and science. Surely he could get a roustabout, roughneck or floorhand job in ND? Do any of you guys know anyone recruiting?
I would very much appreciate any help as times are tough right now. Nothing here for him.
Scotslass,
Have you check at Job Service North Dakota ? I know from our local newspaper, there are a lot of oil job openings, especially for those with CDL licenses. Somes companines to check at are DXP, PumpCo, Hess, Grayline, and CUDD. Hope this helps. ct
I have looked on line and almost every site I go to they all want you to pay for there services, but they say that dose not mean they will find you a job.So in the end your out anywhere from 30 to 60 $$ for nothing.
