Wendell, I remember you and your parents. We lived in Neche, ND. My father was Joseph Bartlett and we went to the Catholic Church there with your parents.

I grew up in Neche graduated in 1970. Never found it scary by the canadian border. Thought it made it more fun. For a small town we had a lot to offer. A small public pool, baseball team. And they still have elementary school there. Good luck in finding your info.

There are two Neche History Books printed, titled "Proudly we Speak: Volume I and II" not sure where you cold get them now. Someone that lives up there should have an idea. I got the last one in 1981.

Default Neche History
Neche's History has been compiled in a new printed book entitled Neche North Dakota "A Road to the Past" It is now available at the Pembina County Musemand the Heritage Center in Cavalier, ND. It was avsailable for sale at the 2015 School Reunion in July.
