Thanks, Dan.

Things pretty much started this weekend, as you probably know. Lots of frantic building of emergency dikes, and today, schools & colleges cancelled so the kids can help sandbag, main roads under water........

Here in Valley City we're still good, but many towns in this area of the state not so much.

So how long does this go on? I recall Iowa City getting hammered for weeks.

It depends....the Red is notorious for prolonged high water with snow melt so some sites may be above flood stage for a month....granted the most severe high levels will not last that long.

To adminstrators....

The Red River valley 2010 flood is winding down with many sites now below flood stage. So you can remove this sticky if you wish. Thanks!
