Can someone assist me. I am originally from Jim Thorpe and I am planning on visiting in a few weeks. I am looking for a road cycling group to to a day ride, 40 to 50 mile loop. Starting and ending in Jim Thorpe. I am 56 yrs. old and have been biking for some time. Mountains are not a problem. Please reply Mod cut - pleae do not post e-mail addreses If I cannot find a group to ride with can someone send me information on a good loop for me to do. Thank you.

Try contacting Blue Mountain Sports or Adventure Central, both located in JT. I believe BMS does group rides; not sure about AC.

Not exactly a road but I love to do the Lehigh Gorge Trail. Hard packed cinders; all but the thin road tires should work. 25 scenic miles from Jim Thorpe to Whitehaven on a constant 4 deg uphill grade. Make sure you have a helmet if doing the last few miles at Whitehaven.
