Anyone gonna check out the new table games at Mohegan Sun or Mount Aery? I have never been a slots person, but now that they do have table games I will check it out once in a while.

Absolutely! As a matter of fact, our next sans kids night, we are planning to go up there with 3 or 4 other couples. Can't wait!

Nah...I'm not a gambler...I've gone to casinos all of 3 times in my life, and when I left, I realized I had just flushed money down the toilet.

I'm not planning to go. I went once, a couple of months ago, to Mohegan Sun, because my son invited me to go along with him. I felt I should say, "yes", since I live literally seven minutes away and therefore should at the very least see what it was all about. We walked around, put a couple of dollars in a slot machine and left to go have lunch elsewhere. There was no sense of excitement.

Prior to that, I had been to AC to Harrah's Marina once about 20-some years ago. Didn't come home with any thought of going back.

I will, however, defend your right to enjoy yourself at any legal pursuit.

(I'm not a NASCAR fan either, nor do I follow sky-diving, or World Cup soccer, but whatever makes you happy...)

Im not a big gambler at all, but I'm curious to see and try the new table games. I don't think I have ever spent more then $20 at a casino on games.

My husband and I aren't table game people or gambling people in general. It's the atmosphere that we are more interested in - just a fun time out, ya know?

People tend to blame the casino because we didn't get the tax reduction we were promised, but the blame falls solely on our state legislature who pretty much lied, but go ahead vote them all back in!. As far as the casino goes, I think they have been an asset to the community, they have added jobs, entertainment options, and a garranteed yearly payout to Luzerne county communities for economic development. If you are dumb enough to spend your entire paycheck or social security check at the casino, then that is your fault, and you need to learn some self restraint or get help. That's just my opinion.

My brother, who is in law enforcement in another state, told me that while casinos/gaming may put a little money back into the community, there is also a lot of negative stuff that comes with it. Will we reap the fruits of that right away? Probably not. Let's talk 10 or 15 years down the road and see if it's still a positive thing/asset to the community when there is an increase in crime, poverty, alcoholism, etc.

I loathe this culture and wish it would stay in Atlantic City where it belongs.
