I just spent time looking at YouTube videos of snowshoe fails; but I didn't see what I was looking for. I do enjoy watching the YouTube videos and then I end up in a different direction than my original intent!

Have you ever watched the 'funniest chainsaw fails' set of videos on YouTube. They have ten of them and maybe more by this time. On our 'Garden' forum I have encouraged others that own a chainsaw or even hand pruning saws to watch these videos before they cut. There is really nothing 'funny' about the videos; people were seriously hurt in some of those videos. But they are excellent training films. You can easily see the mistakes of others and try not to repeat those mistakes yourself.

I posted the chainsaw meets tree fail a while back. No one was hurt, but some buildings and probably a vehicle didn't fare as well.

This is dozens of pictures and there are ten different videos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OinhkA9V1Zs. That is number 2; I think they pulled one or two of the videos. That one starts out with what looks like a staged fail; but then gets into real fails. People should pay plenty of attention to the ones where somebody is cutting on a ladder and the limb kicks the ladder out from under them. Like I said they are a great training tool.

My 'snowmobile' (plow truck) did not want to start this morning and I was in panic mode until I got it running this afternoon. I have not used it and the battery froze on me. I got a new batter and it works great!

Memorial Day! It's not happy. A guy I went to high school with, Walt, got blown up in Beirut.

My son is a little happy because he gets Monday off. With pay. I always had to work.

He's driving to North Carolina tomorrow to visit his friend who is stationed at Fort Bragg. He was going to go with a friend who drives a Prius, but the friend backed out. Trip cancelled... until last night. He's going to drive his 16 year old beater pick-up from Berlin, NJ to Fayetteville, NC.

I told him, he knows, to pack tools and fluids. Thanks mom.

What are you doing this weekend?

Working! What's wrong with double time? What's wrong with a 16 year old pickup; it just skidded a tree out my driveway so I could go to work last week!

Hopefully your son will be fine, just because it's old; does not mean it is dead! Heck; I just got another job! I was trying to tell another poster there were jobs available and I applied and got one at 72 years old!
