The little dancers are very serious about their terpsichore. They don't make sausage. I just feed the deer fennel, sage, salt and pepper, have them commit suicide and jump into the casings.
No - don't turn them into sausages now! Keep seasoning them until they reach a ripe old age and they can't point anymore!

Have a great day!

Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather! We sure have been. Sadly my eldest is currently in CMC and the last few days have been horrible for us as a family, but God has given us his beauty to look at.

Why has this sub-forum died? Back when I first joined this forum and lobbied for the creation of this sub-forum in 2006 and 2007 this became quite a "hopping" place and was one of the most successful and popular on the entire site. Now while it seems like there is a new post on the Pittsburgh sub-forum every 15 minutes there is a new one on here once every 12-18 hours, at best. MOST of the "regulars" who used to participate on here are gone. Of the very few left half are bitter and spiteful while the other half, who actually are insightful and informative, converse very sparingly.

Is it because of everyone disliking the moderator? Has everyone moved away, as I have? What gives?

speaking for myself, nothing to do with the moderator. Feels like I'm crashing a party or interrupting a conversation when I post.

right or wrong, that's my answer.

I like the moderator; even though I bumped heads when I first started posting. I would not want their job. If people want an un-moderated forum they can go to [domain blocked due to spam] (but I hate that forum; it is always one side against the other side).

As far as why this isn't more lively; I think that loosing Matilda and Riverside (perhaps Riverside will be back?) hurt. I also miss the VarmintBlaster. But; that is my personal opinion. I am sure that other good poster will also come along.

I'm neither bitter nor am I spiteful. Ain't nobody got time for dat!

I post when I have something to say. I rarely post such stuff as "Agree!!" or "^^^^ this." Many people have left because they are weary of hearing the same old cant over and over. Perhaps some people only post when there's $500.00 on the line?

I, too, miss Riverside, and Varmintblaster. Magritte has been on sabbatical for some time now, and losing Matildaloo left a large hole. But hey, life, like the beat, goes on.

OMT: I have no beef with the moderator. Why would anybody? She's doing an odious job.
Hippo, you're posts are always welcome - this isn't a private club. Jump on in here!!

I agree with both you and fisheye. Some former posters are missed, but that is the way of the internet and sadly the real world.
