Hi there, while doing some research about Erie neighborhood such as MillCreek, I noticed that Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy (NPCA) was unbelievably outstanding. Could you tell me about it if you have some experience? Just don't want to repeat some scams such as "majority to minority, minority to majority" in Atlanta. Thanks.

I live in Millcreek and the Collegiate Academy is an excellent choice if you meet their criteria you have to be accepted into the school. They only want the best students out there.

My daughters friend goes there and she is right on tract to become a doctor.

The majority of my experience is with the Millcreek school district.
My daughter goes to McDowell in the Millcreek school district. It is a huge school system graduating a good 800 students a year.

The high school is currently split into 2 buildings. 9th & 10th in one and 11th and 12th in the other. Some of the kids do have to travel to the other building depending on some of the classes they have chosen..

Due to this huge tax base the opportunities are endless! One building has it's own planetarium and your choices of college prep classes are unbelievable.

Also your choice of a second language are unbelievable. They offer what they call "world languages" My daughter is in her 2nd year of Manderian (Chinese) and her courses are designed to prep her for her desired profession of an aeronautical engineer.

So I guess it depends on what your child is planning for their future.

Either school has the potential to give your child one of the best public school educations out there!
