We have four dogs and they are a part of our family. We never thought that we would need to board them for any reason - usually when we travel we have a very nice woman who comes to stay at our house.

Now we are stuck in the Gennetti hotel which is lovely but quarters are cramped.

I am thinkung of taking a rental until we find the right house to buy.
The problem has been most places will not take A dog - much less multiple dogs.

April, Maple, Toby and Bella are in NY now and we really miss them.
They need to leave very soon.

We would be open to boarding them with a loving person who does not do this professionally. We would provide food and crates and visit them frequently.

If you are interested or know of a person or a facility who would treat them with TLC let me know!

Thanks! Sheena

Why not rent a house in like Forest city for $600-$700 a month and take care of your dogs yourself , a hotel has to costing a lot more then if you had a apt or house . People rent to others with animals

Do you know of such a house? I have no idea where Forest City is.
Thanks
That would be MUCH less expensive than the hotel.

Good luck trying to find a landlord willing to rent you a house/property when you have 4 dogs.
If you do, be prepared to pay a monthly rent premium and a considerable damage deposit (in many cases non-refundable at end of lease) to cover the wear and tear on the property.

You may be a very responsible pet owner, but as a general rule of thumb, most folks are not.

As a landlord of several residential properties, I limit the tenant to 1 dog and charge additional rent.
Furthermore, I will not allow certain breeds (i.e. - pitbulls).

I am more than aware that most L.L.s do not permit pets.
This is a major reason why I did not rent first and buy later.
As a lanlord I rented frequently to tenants with pets.
Never had a problem. My worst tenant was a sigle man with no pets.
This was a true "Pacific Heights" situation.

Thanks nkotb! I MAY have found a house (fingers are crossed, breath is held) so this may no longer be an emergency issue, but I would still lik to know someone who does pet sitting!

I am happy that you may have found the right house. If you still need dog sitter, I would be interested. I have only one dog now, but had four at one time. The big guy was 115 lbs., so size is not an issue. I am in NY right now, but would travel to your home if necessary. I could also mind them in my house. Keep me in mind. Good luck.
