Hi everybody, this is my first post.

I just relocated from Pittsburgh to the Scranton area for working.
I am interested in study the German language and I would appreciate
any advice or referrals you might be able to give me on where to find
a German school/teacher for a totally beginner's level.

Thanks!

Default Book Recommendation

I highly recommend the book "German for Beginners" by Charles Duff. It's been out of print for a while, but you can buy it used from Amazon.com and other sites. You can also audit German classes at the local colleges. Viel Glück.

There's also the "Rosetta Stone" DVD's which guide you through conversational skills in just about any language, and it's a great tool.
But it's not cheap.

Try the German Society of Pennsylvania. They might be able to point you in the right direction.
