Got my first oil delivery of the year at a price of $3.11 per gallon. Seems a little high.
Would appreciate info on reputable dealers and what others have been paying recently.
We are currently living in the Hideout
Thanks.

I use Lessig, and just got my first delivery this week, too. I paid $274.9 and thought that was high.

Ouch, I had oil on L.I and hated it! I was raised in a home that had natural Gas and through my family's travels in the military had every kind of heat except coal ( although, I have heard my husbands stories about coal heat) and am so happy the home we purchased here in N. Scranton has natural Gas. Of course if I I was looking for a home with natural Gas I probably never would of found this one, lol Murphys law seems to rule when I look for something specific!

I have electric heat and my full one month bill ( for last month) including a total electric home was only $109.00. And I use my washer and dryer everyday. I leave too many lights on.....and run the dishwasher constantly. So not so bad at all, so far.

So glad I don't have oil heat anymore....its expensive, you have to have it delivered, and its inefficient and dirty...you always need to have your chimney swept. When we replaced the old oil furnace with natural gas, the new furnace paid for itself in no time.

I did see a price for home heating oil yesterday...$2.75 a gallon seems to be the going rate now. Ouch!

Don't count on NG being cheap forever, just 2 years ago the price was going through the roof. I've seen these swings come ago for 2 decades now. Gas will be low and everyone gets complacent , you'll get a lot of people switching to gas and it drives the price up... Then you get a huge spike and you can't keep up with the coal deliveries... Everyone panics and starts looking for alternatives. 2 years ago right before the financial crisis when the fuel prices were spiking there was a 1 year wait for a coal boiler, that's no BS. Peoeple couldn't find anything; pellet stoves, wood stoves, coal stoves... all sold out.

Just got some from Lessig's same price as you. They may not be the cheapest but I've had excellent service from them 24/7/365 and I don't want to switch to save a few bucks.
