We are on a search to move to PA sometime next year. We are doing research to figure out where to move to. We have driven around Lehigh, Northampton and Bucks and narrowed our search in those areas to Quakertown, Nazareth and Upper Macungie.

Our criteria is:

Good schools
Newer home in family neighborhood (looking to spend 350-400k on a house)
Need to be within 20 minutes of shopping
Want to live close (within 1 hr) of NJ/NY
Commute doesn't matter (work from home)

We didn't think about Pike county. How is it there? I read about Dingman's Ferry and was wondering if it is comparable to Lehigh?

Thanks for your input!

I don't know why everyone jumps all over the Pike County bandwagon. I think Wayne County is much nicer...then again I could just be bias since that's where I want to live when I finally get out of Lackawanna County.

To be honest, I really don't know much about the other counties you mentioned, I was just throwing Wayne out there since I like it.
