Well whats not to like, ladies? They have nice stuff intermingled with other stuff. You can walk there. They are nice and they wrap your Christmas gifts for free! WOW!
And it is a TOTALLY MCM experience. That announcer guy who tells "ladies" that it might be time to change your purses from summer to fall, or reminds you to relax and take a break at their basement cafe - I mean how cool is that?

That announcer sounds like a close relative of Don Pardo.

And all under one roof you can buy a blanket, some Estee Lauder cosmetics, get your hair done and book a trip to Europe!

Boscovs - hey you gotta love a store like that !

Oh YES, I love Boscovs the very best. I was in the Binghamton store and it is 6 floors of wonderment. They boxed and wrapped in foil paper and didn't charge me a cent.
They have wonderful things. I adore this store. Glad to have you as company.
Eastons, is quite small.........but I love that store too. A wonderful, wonderful, store.

I really miss the Wilkes-Barre Boscov's, even though it does need some renovations. I intentionally did as much shopping as I could there because of the free gift-wrapping.

I love Boscov's too. It always brings back childhood momories of shopping with my mother. I love the old fashioned feel, and there is never a line to wait in like the rat race up by the mall.

I call the old "tall" Boscovs ...........Little Macy's. I feel like I am at a small version of Macy's when I am in them.

I haven't been in the Boscov's here yet, but I did shop at the one in Binghamton a couple of times, years ago. Where I grew up in Paterson, NJ, there was a store called Meyer Brothers, they were the top-notch store in town, with manned elevators, fresh-squeezed orange juice and an old-fashioned feel. They had those bells or chimes that went by number code to call managers or CSM's, not like the intercoms of today. Back in the early 80's, I finally convinced my elderly grandmother (who lived in Queens) to come for a ride on the subway and visit Macy's on 34th St. in Manhattan, just before Christmas. I think she had one of the best times in her later life, and I took a bunch of Kodachrome slides of that event, so much to see, and the store was all decked out. A very precious memory.

I love that store. I've been going there since I was a kid and it was called Fowler, Dick and Walker, The Boston Store. That's where my Mom used to take me to visit Santa.

Not a big Bosco's fan myself....for department stores, I like Kohl's...the place is almost always running 20-30% off sales, and you can get stuff dirt cheap off of the clearance racks.
