No, krellers are hard, they are also harder to describe then I realized. lol

What you call krellers, growing up in Philadelphia, they were called crullers. By any name, they are by far my favorites. My Grandmere used to make them and shake them in a bag with cinnamon and sugar.

From time to time, I find them at Price Chopper in their bakery department, usually with powdered sugar. Yes, they're harder on the outside than a traditional doughnut. Actually there's a little crunch when you bite. Great for dunking in that cuppa joe.

Frank, we all know that doughnuts are neither health food nor healthy food, but life would be pretty dull without them. Everything in moderation.

On topic, while Scranton may not be Baghdad on the Lackawanna, (sorry New York), they do have a Krispy Kreme, and that makes it worth a visit.

From what I understand different people have different definitions of what a kruller is. Like I said before, who cares? They are all deliciously sinful yummy bakery delights!
