Looking for a location willing to host monthly meetings for a nonprofit group. Kid friendly, room to do activities, about 6-12 moms plus kids. Prefer Dingmans Ferry or Milford. I've been calling churches but mostly getting answering machines. Any ideas?

I would contact Camp Netimus in Milford. They have a boys and girls summer camp that is available nearly year round (you would have to find another venue in the summer) for meetings and retreats.

How about a local library? Some libraries have community meeting rooms that rent for free or a nominal fee.

Thanks! We've done a bunch of calling/emailling, and it looks like Belle Reve is a strong possibility. Who could have guessed that the nursing home was looking to offer community use space? The churches are mostly full up with activities and meetings, and the library is too small for even it's own purposes (that's a big can o worms, as any Pike resident who's been reading the news the last few years knows
). And all the camps and retreats and things are pretty expensive (although I don't think we called Netimus, will keep it in mind in case this doesn't work), and we're broke.

The American Legion in Milford offers their back room for meeting places as long as one of the folks having the meeting is a veternan.
