This is a very sad thing to have to happen to an elderly person. It's as despicable as beating a child in my book. But this is nothing new. It's happened for thousands of years and will continue to happen. As long as there are desperate people who will stop at nothing to get what they want, violent crime will occur.

Wow, I got deleted again, amazing. I happen to agree with you 100 percent on this one. Very sad story and despicable. You have to be a very small person of moral and character to do this to an elderly person.

I'm guessing that the crime was drug related. Most incidents of this type are.

You are correct. It happens everywhere. Even in communities where homes cost 300k and up.

Not exactly the same thing. Mugging an old woman at the store is a crime of opportunity. A home invasion as described in that article is planned, typically with a known target to be stolen - drugs, business receipts, business inventory, collectibles, etc

I'm guessing the same thing. The punk that went into the deli was living in Gouldsboro. Not smart to rob the convenience store in your OWN town.
Nice job by the Son in chasing them down.

I'm glad they were caught. The Boruta family is very hard working and accomodating. What a shame!
