IMO

Stay away from community's . They are not worth it , Cost's go up every yr . and they are tough selling a home in them..

Look outside of a community .You'll be much happier ..

We are in wle and love it. Since we bought here 3 years ago, I remember one report ; there may have been more, but as we dont live there full time, I am unaware of it.
My kids play on the street, go on hikes with their friends etc. Most people are friendly and get along.

I ahve no complaints ; ok one ; that I cannot spend more time there.

Greentown is nice...you'll find things much slower and quieter than in Suffolk...my wife is from Sayville BTW.

I lived in WLE full time for awhile and no longer live there. Thiere is crime in there, but they usually catch who is involved. They usually keep things inhouse as do most communities in that area. It's a nice summer place, for for full time I would not recommend it.

Greentown is a lovely little town. Has pretty much all you need within ten to fifteen minutes, except for big box stores. As I usually say, close enough to everything you need and far enough from everything you don't want.

Out of the ones you mentioned Spanky, Lake Naomi would be my choice...a bit more expensive but you
will see the difference when you visit....Lots to do and a beautiful well kept community.....Good luck

Hey...I grew up in N. Patchouge, and lived in Medford until June of 2007. It is lovely here and most folks are quiet, community minded good people. There does seem to be a great deal of child abusing freaks, drunks and sorry to say a greater than average population of white trash. I have heard of more robberies, rapes and child molestation cases in my 4 years of living in Scranton than my entire LIFE in Pat/ Med.
