We want somewhere in the Scranton area that allows us to bring in our own catered food/drink. We want something a little classier than your typical NEPA firemans' hall. Along those lines, we've looked into: The Tripps House (you're limited to caterers from their list) and the Scranton cultural Center (not sure about the food but all beverages must be done through them and it's very pricey). We're wondering if anybody has any suggestions/ideas for us to check out. Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure Genetti's is a full-service facility and doesn't permit outside catering.

As for other venues, have you thought about a church hall? St Anthony of Padua in Exeter has a lovely facility and the rent is reasonable. You can provide your own food and/or caterer. There is a fully equipped kitchen. I have attended two events there - one an anniversary party and one a bridal shower. Both of them were catered by family of the honorees.
