I can't vote today, since I'm independent, but unfortunately it doesn't matter which of the slimy politicians you vote for....the people will get walked on as usual. When it all comes down to it, politicians are all the same, no matter if they have a D or R after their name. They're in it for themselves, not the people.

I have to hope. As Winston Churchill said
“It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried.”

When we have no hope we have nothing.

.... but research the candidates first. No point in voting if you're just going to make random picks.

I voted too - the way I see it, if you don't exercise your civic duty, then don't exercise your mouth about the election later.

I feel the same way, people have died trying to do what many of us can not even be bothered to do. As a nation we are more concerned with who will win DWTS's and American Idol such a sad state of affairs.

Good for him, and yes the apathy is disturbing! So many have died for for this very special right, and so many take it for granted, but have no problem complaining about the state of our nation. The attitude of it is just more of the same, well it will be if WE as a people do not effect change. It took everyday people to build this nation and it will take everyday people to fix it. Look at what other countries are doing, they have had enough and are demanding change and are dying for it!
