Looking for locations on some carved wood sculpture vendors, there are always a few outside of Scranton and into the Poconos. You know, the ones who will have large chainsaw-carved bear figures, eagles, etc.

there's one on rt 14 between Troy and Canton.

There's also a lumberman's festival in Forksville and out towards Coudersport every year but I don't know when.

I have seen Masters of the Chainsaw at a few carnivals and they always sell the sculptures after the show.

The Lumberjack show is in October. When the carving competition starts, earplugs are helpful. You'll find an array of carved items for sale.

I recall buying a carved owl at Knoebel's one year. Funny, I can't recall where it is now. The owl, that is, not Knoebel's.

Rt 611 - not sure if the town is Scotrun or Tannersville. All those towns on Rt 611 from Stroudsburg to Mt Pocono blend together to me.

David,

Your West End Fair also has featured those wood sculptures.

J5K5LY,

It was in Swiftwater. However, even though it is around the corner from me; I am not too sure if it is still there? I usually detour around that particular area - it is just the way my side roads meet Route 611.

I know the one you speak of, fisheye, but I don't think that is there anymore...
