Wegmans is the best I have come across anywhere. Better than any market in NY and better than anything where we are moving.

The store brand is decent too and less expensive.

I value spending my hard-earned dollars at companies that value their employees.
I live about 15 minutes from a Wegmans and go often. It is a great store. However, my brother lives in the Pittsburgh area and I stop at the Giant Eagle in Robinson every time I am out for a visit. Now that is a store! Blows away every Wegmans I have been to with the exception of one in Rochester.

Granted I've never been to the Giant Eagle in Robinson, but there's a comparable Giant Eagle (the "Market District" sub-brand) near me in Shadyside in the city proper. I haven't been very impressed by it and still prefer Wegman's. Given that Wegman's is based in Western Upstate NY and has a presence in Erie, PA I never understood why they never expanded into the rest of Western PA or Northeastern OH, where Warren Zee now lives. I've found the prices at Giant Eagle: Market District to be higher than comparable products at Wegman's.

I suggest you make a trip to the Robinson GE. It is nothing like the Shadyside store. Also, like most any store, prices vary per week. I judge a store on availabity and quality of items, not just price. Check out Robinson and then you can make a fair observation.
