Just came back from visiting Montainhome (Callie's of course) and noticed a large apartment development. What has happened to the sleepy little town. I though Mountainhome was just outside of the usual commutable area?

NSHL10,

I believe that is a retirement community. Yes; the area is changing. However; they are fighting to keep it the way it was: http://www.poconorecord.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20110629/NEWS/110629691/-1/NEWS16
In today’s PR they are talking about two new ordinances to restict the height of buildings and to increase “Open Space” around the resorts.

Going back to the apartment complex; how would you like to own that historic building on the other side of Route 390? I don’t know the owners. They have been working on that building for the last decade. I always knew it as the Seguine property (correct my spelling if I have it wrong) as I was growing up. To me, as I was driving by the new renovation of the old building; it reminded me of the movie “The Money Pit”. I would like to see the old place finished - but I think that it is running out of steam. There is also something about owning a historic mansion and looking out at a new apartment complex.
