The best pizza in NEPA comes out of my oven..with real Polly-O whole milk mozzarella cheese, homemade sauce, mushrooms and black olives.
Just my (humble) opinion.
If it ain't from a few select southern NY pizzarias I don't want it...no offense intended.

Hot wings from NE PA kick butt tho.

Funny, when I saw a response to this thread my thought was to come here and write that the best pizza comes out of my house.

Homemade NEPA Pizza Battle anyone?

Default Proof

The major proof in this argument is that NEPA residents grew up on Old Forge Pizza, New York Style, and countless pizzerias that are a combination of both styles. And the vast majority of NEPA residents prefer Old Forge pizza.

Now these NY style lovers have tried Old Forge once or twice and claim to be an expect. We are the experts. We grew up on both styles. We have more pizza places per capita than anywhere else in the country. End of Argument!

BTW Colarussos has overtaken Revellos as my favorite.

NEPA Residents know their Pizza and Wings!

I grew up on NJ and PA pizza and spent the last 25 years here eating pizza in NEPA and I don't like Old Forge pizza, but wings "The Donkey" in Scranton is the best.

Haha sounds like fun!

I have to admit tho, I'm no longer the pizza specialist of the house. I taught my DH and he has long since outdone me. Of course he is now the hero of Saturday night dinner and a movie..the kids run around yelling Pizza!!! Pizza!!! he gets all the glory..

Dang , would I like to have a large New Jersey pie right now, extra thin, with the oil running down the arm.....( does anyone still make em this way? )

But instead we're having a Roast Chicken with Mashed Potatoes, gravy, broccoli, and a cup of carrot soup.

There's no such thing as Pizza in Port Charlotte Fla. There's "chicago style" up in northport but who would eat that?

It's not proof, it is still subjective (your opinion)... All that really matters to anyone is which pizza they personally prefer. I am not going to only eat a pizza, and that pizza only because YOU say it is the best, I am going to choose my favorite to eat, cause last time I checked, when I eat pizza, I am the only one that can taste it for me. Its a personal preference- there is no winning for anyone with this argument... I vote for real NY style pizza. Try Cafe Classico II in Moscow.

Ricci's pizza, Park Ave. Wilkes-Barre. Best pizza on planet Earth. Period.
