The Dietrich flooding pains my theater geek heart considering how much work was put into revamping that theater and all the work that was done to save it. (So many theaters in the area met the wrecking ball.)

The gauge in Meshoppen has a set a all time record level of 44.11ft at 374,000kcfs which is the highest recorded level on the Susquehanna river in the history of Wyoming county.

If it's currently at 40.9', then the levees will be overtopped, as they are only designed to protect up to 41'.

Maybe it's time to reconsider the merits of damming the Susquehanna river...
