Default Apple Pay is ...

Check out of stores using your iPhone 6 or 6s series phone at the checkout terminal. You don't pull out a credit card to swipe, and the store never actually sees OR stores your credit card number. One time "tokens" are created instead, so if the store, Target or Home Depot for example, have their credit card databases hacked into to steal credit card numbers, your credit card number is not in there.

From Wikipedia:

Apple Pay lets mobile devices make payments at contactless points of sale and in iOS apps. It digitizes and replaces the credit or debit card chip and PIN or magnetic stripe transaction at point-of-sale terminals. It is similar to contactless payments already used in many countries, with the addition of two-factor authentication. The service lets Apple devices wirelessly communicate with point of sale systems using a near field communication (NFC) antenna, a "dedicated chip that stores encrypted payment information" (known as the Secure Element), and Apple's Touch ID and Wallet.[2] The service is compatible with the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S and 6S Plus and the Apple Watch. Users with iPhone 5, 5C, 5S, 6, 6 Plus, 6S and 6S Plus can use the service through an Apple Watch, though it lacks Touch ID security.[2] Instead, Apple Pay is activated with a passcode and will remain active for as long as the user wears the Apple Watch.[3]
The service keeps customer payment information private from the retailer, and creates a "dynamic security code [...] generated for each transaction".[2] Apple added that they would not track usage, which would stay between the customers, the vendors, and the banks. Users can also remotely halt the service on a lost phone via the Find My iPhone service.[2]
To pay at points of sale, users hold their authenticated Apple device to the point of sale system. iPhone users authenticate by holding their fingerprint to the phone's Touch ID sensor,[2] whereas Apple Watch users authenticate by double clicking a button on the device.[4] To pay in supported iOS apps, users choose Apple Pay as their payment method and authenticate with Touch ID.[2] Users can add payment cards to the service in any of three ways: through their iTunes accounts, by taking a photo of the card, or by entering the card information manually.

I wonder when that is coming to Tracfone?

It all sounds great. However; many already thought other technologies were foolproof. Of course there are many criminals that will look for loopholes. Time will tell if this works.
