Hello everyone,

This probably a long shot... but maybe someone knows. Several years ago, wife and I stayed at jack frost for a weekend ski trip, and there was a community, definitely on the newish side, with very large single family homes, RIGHT near the trails at JF. If memory serves it was almost walkable, if not walkable to the trails, but it did not appear to be a rental type community, and there were no condo's or townhomes or anything. All single famly homes. Didn't really seem to have anything to do with JF other than proximity.

I could be getting the mountain confused with Big Boulder but I don't think so. Believe with BB, you arrive at the top of the mountain, and ski down to the lifts, but where we stayed, we started at the bottom of the mountain, and that is definitely where the community was.

I've never forgotten the beauty of this community, and i'd like to start my housing research there for a new job I am considering in that area... Anyone know the name??????

Thanks very much!

If it helps it is Jack Frost where you arrive at the top and ski down. Mostly townhouses that I know of near Big Boulder, maybe Split Rock or Lake Harmony?

Okay thanks so the community must have been located near BB - NOT JF. As you said, most of the communities there are Townhomes, but this one particular community was all single family homes. Think Split Rock is Townhomes, but i will investigate Lake Harmony. Thanks...

I believe you are thinking of "Laurelwoods" - it's within walking distance to Big Boulder and has a mix of single family, duplex and townhomes.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask... My husband works for the management company over there.
