Hi,

I'd like to relocate to Pike county - something w/in 1/2 hour of Port Jervis (train). I would love something along the Delaware, like Mill Rift, but practically am looking into a region of eastern Pike county starting as far west as Shohola, going down 434 to 84 and down 739 to 209 (and everything east of that to the river). My wife and I have 2 young children and can go to about 250k. Some of the lake communities along 739 seem promising.

Can anyone recommend a good realtor?

Any other advice would be much appreciated.

Many thanks!

The best lake community that I know of for kids and things to do is Hemlock Farms. Gated community...very secure. It's like it's own little city. Kids would LOVE it. Search Hemlock Farms Community Association on the internet. You'll find their website. By way of I-84, it's literally 25 min. to the train station in Port Jervis. Good Luck!

We had a great realtor when we moved up here to Dingmans Ferry from Century 21 Roy B Hull on 739. Her name is Sue Cappello. She was wonderful and went out of her way to show us stuff. She's lived here a long time and knows alot about the area. Hope this helps!

I personally would look into Fawn lake Forest. Absolutely beautiful and has cheaper hoa fees.

I highly recommend Bonnie Lafe from Coldwell Bankers in Milford - 296-5800. She is honest and upbeat and will work very hard for what you want. She is one of the very few realtors here that I have had a great experience with. She knows the area very well and is very down the earth.

I travel by train from Port Jervis a couple of times a month and it is easy access into the city - if you need anything regarding that pm me. Good luck.

My personal opinion would be to contact David Dellert of Century 21 located on Route 6 Hawley(Lake Wallenpaupack). The best real estate agent I ever have done business with.

Ask a realtor up in the lake region. The houses are close together that is all I know.

Good luck.
