HI, we need a handyman in the East Stroudsburg area. We got a quote from a guy, for a new vinyl-framed window, installed, that seems kinda high so I wanted a second opion and/or competitive bid. Anybody know of a reasonable guy? thanks!

Let me know if you found a good one.

The one we were using --- we "broke up" with him in pretty sour end... the lesson teaches you not to be so nice to contractor especially when they choose to drag on your project --- and end up he feels like losing money on your job.

Fortunately he did complete the job with partly sub-standard work in minor area. other than that, it is an "ok" job for the money... but i would never use him ever again nor recommend him to any one.

Pocono girl.

We do know a good plumber, electrician, and a GREAT roofer --- who does minor GC work in off seasons.

Bumping this thread. Does anyone know a good concrete mason? I need my sidewalk and steps looking smooth. No BS patchwork to fill in the cracks.

Jimmy Counterman rebuilt our chimney about 10 years ago. Don't know if he's still around but he did a good job for a reasonable rate.

Here is the name of a local elderly mason contractor:
William Peechatka – ph. # 570-629-1382. He specializes in stone masonry. He recently rebuilt the stone bridge on Brookedale Rd. by me. He did a great job but I have no idea of his rates. If he does not do sidewalks; he has been in the business long enough to recommend a contractor.

You could also call A W Zacharias Mason Supplies at 570-421-1040. They have been in business for many years and should know a good contractor.
