Hi Everyone! We are thinking of moving from NJ to PA and kind of liked Fawn Lake Forest. Does anyone live there? If so, can you tell me about it and a little about the area? Any information anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated!

Fawn Lake Forest is a wonderful community!!! We own a acre of ground there and cannot wait to build in a few years. Better get in now. Give it 5 years and it will be pricey. It has a very reputable school system but best of all its just a beautiful community. Wait till you see the new pool they are putting in...very nice!! And its a community that cares!!!

Default Fawn Lake

HI!

It's a nice quiet place in a nice area. Dues are a little steep for what you get. No community water or sewers.

Yes, but there is a reason for these dues...to keep and maintain a great quality of life.(Pocono Country Place) Enough said.

Hi and thank you for your reply. Are you planning to move there year round? This is going to be our retirement home and probably our last house, so I want to get as much information as possible before making that final decision. I could see that area building up quickly as it really is a beautiful area. Have you met many of the people in the community? We are very friendly and outgoing and are hoping to make friends, so I am hoping that it is a friendly community as well as a beautiful one.

Thanks again. Maybe someday soon we will be neighbors!

Hi and thanks for that reply. I have heard nothing but horror stories and were warned off a Pocono Country Place by many a realtor, which is good enough for me. I have also found that Fawn Lake Forest is not the highest as far as dues is concerned. Hemlock Farms is much higher, and other communities such as the Hideout have about the same amount of dues. I appreciate any information I can get about Fawn Lake. This will be our retirement home (and hopefully our last house) and we will be year round residents so I really want to know all about the area where we will finally settle.

Kind of off point here, but what is the distance between Fawn Lake and The Hideout?

Default lot for sale

I have a lot in fawn lake forest that is almost an acre. I just showed it to someone yesterday and was surprised at how much better it is. I bought this almost 20 yrs ago. It is beautiful up there. The lot is level and is between the big and the little lake. It is located on white tail cir. (sec 7 lot 96). If you are interested let me know. That's unless this other person buys it.

It's hard to compare other places' dues with Hemlock because in all fairness Hemlock has a ton of ammenities and their garbage pickup is included in the dues which in alot of places that's seperate.

Fawn Lake Forest is probably about 30 minutes from The Hideout if you drive like me(fast). It is up there near Masthope Mountain. Very Quiet and I would guess that if you were looking to retire and want peace and quiet then that would be a much better choice than the Pocono Lake region
