Throw in the fact that the entire place smells like an ashtray and that the staff insists on carding you and interrogating you each and every time you venture in and out of the "hub" for any reason (instead of issuing wristbands like we do in Pittsburgh), and this leads to a very unenjoyable time. The idiots who built it never even thought to build a parking GARAGE to house more parking spaces VERTICALLY so more people could park closer to the entrance, freeing up the massive surface parking lots for other amenities.
It sad how crowded Mohegan Sun is at all hours of the day. Its no surprise that in NEPA, a place with gambling and drinking that allows smoking all under one roof would pack them in like sardines. I wonder how many people are losing their shirts there? In an area with a depressed economy, I don't see how many people should have the spare money to gamble all the time. Many of them are probably the same elderly people who gripe about their "fixed incomes," and then blow the SS check on the slot machines, then they go and fill their LIHEAP application out so the taxpayers can pay for their heat. I drive down 81 at 3:30 in the afternoon on weekdays and the parking lot at Mohegan is jammed...

<-- stop doing this.

How was it not positive? blahdy blah politicians, rising debt, etc and so on and so forth. All that aside, this is a positive event whether you'd like to admit it or not.

As long as the city doesn't finance it then whatever. For as much as I think its waste, what really makes it such a positive thing? Mind you I have attended before and just don't see it....Sorry. No matter which way you spin it, the city SUCKS and isn't getting any better!!!

It is what it is.........

Wow, all I asked was if there was anything to do, not to start a debate. We went out to eat then ended up at the casino and then was home by the time the ball dropped.
