My husband and I want to build a home and I wanted to know if anyone knows of reputable contracters. Has anyone encountered any bad one that they can warn us about. Also, what does everyone do for the weekends. I'm nervous that I'll be bored out of my mind aafter being born and raised in NYC

I have also heard bad things about LTS.

Maybe this website will help you (it is searchable):
Homeowners Against Deficient Dwellings

My dad works at a building supply company down in the Lehigh Valley and he highly recommends Anthony Builders for their quality and use of great materials, but I'm not sure if they do homes in the Poconos.

We used RGB builders and were very satisfied. They only build about 10-20 homes a year, and take alot of care, not an assembly line system the way others do. There is plenty to do in the Poconos/PA. Day trips like to Great Wolf Lodge, Penns cave, Bushkill Falls, Lake Wallenpaupack (boating) have kept us busy. Also Dorney Park, Camelbeach, and NJ not too far away as well. We've enjoyed alot of family time with the kids.

My husband used to do electrical work for Sunrise Homes located in Broadheadsville and they seemed really good and fairly reasonable.

Hi MollyME,

I recently brought a house with LTS and have to agree that it is quite nerve wrecking
agents at the begining show amazing homes and at the end you are stuck and trapped into a contract....

How are the property taxes in Monroe county--East stroudsburg???
a estimate ??
