Is Swiftwater a safe place for a single woman? It seems to have the public transportation I need. Are there any specific garden apartments I should stay clear of?

The biggest problem with Swiftwater is that you will probably have a hard time finding anything to rent close to the public transportation that you desire. I don't mean to discourage you; but most of us live away from the bus route. It never hurts to look.
If public transportation is one of your needs; you might be better off looking in Tannersville. I think that would be considered 'safer' than Mount Pocono or Stroudsburg.
Anyway; good luck. Out of curiosity; are you looking at Swiftwater because of Sanofi?
