I was about to write all the fun happenings of Pa today and thought that this issue was more important then that posting.

The Pocono Record has reported today that there was an abduction attempt in Penn Estates. A suspects sketch has been released.
Police said they believe the man is black, 6 feet, with a thin build and close cropped hair.
He spoke with an accent and was in a silver four-door sporty type car with a rear spoiler. Windows slightly tinted, gray interior.
The man tried to force a girl into his car Thurdday at the school bus stop on Sumerset and Ravel.
The girl ran and the man chased her to her driveway.
Police and Security are doing patrols in the area. Residents are urged to take safety precautions....... Lucky this girl knew to run. The man kept yelling for her to "get back here"........Thank goodness she is ok.
Any information call 570-421-6800.
The suspects picture can be found on todays front page ( ( Oct 6th)
I have recently read this week about someone hanging out at the Clearview School. A woman noticed him as the same man who was talking to her two year old in the Mall.
Everyone be careful, watch your children. Keep an eye out for this car!!

Penn Estates is actually in Anolomink......although mail is delivered through East Stroudsburg. I remember when my kids thought I was changing my town, when I put that on an invitation to a clubhouse party there.
It was " Mom, Mom are you trying to get fancy here, where did that name come from?"
Penn Estates sits up on a mountain area that is easy access to 611, 191, and 447.Back gate has a few ways down to 611 ( depends on turn)...
Front gate can lead to 191 or 447.
I once had someone tail us from the back gate. No lights on, stayed on our bumper......we couldn't see who it was, nor their plate. I remember someone on the side of the road looked at our two cars like that, and wondering "why" for sure. It was a bit frightening. Finally they took off and we called security. But........we could only give a vague discription.
I don't know if you live close to Penn Estates, it covers a large area.
I could come down by Mr Z's area, Haltermans, or the Post Office there.
Or I could come down by Studebakers, Lowes, Lees Chinese........or there is a route that brings you out by the Library and Mall area. Quite a few ways in and out. I hope everyone looks at the news and watches for this car.
We're ( none of us) are going to stand for people who snatch kids.....
I'd bet my life on it!!

I was shocked and was wondering if this is a gated community? That is a very scary thing!

Please everyone make sure your homes are safe ,and make sure your kids are too.
Todays Pocono Record of Oct 10th had reported another attempt to abduct a girl.
Tuesday morning as she slept in her bed at 3:14 a man with a deep voice covered her face with her sweatshirt and said " don't scream" ..........
Lucky, she did sit up and scream. The man ran down the hallway and out the door.
He had entered through a window. By the time the parents ran to the room the attacker had left.
This was not in P/Estates, but on McKinley Ave. ..........so again........we must be very aware. Lock your windows, add sensor lights where need be, and watch for unsavory characters.
