Hi,

BF and I are moving up from Maryland in a few months do to a career transfer. Anybody know which W-B neighborhoods are best and if we could find a short sale or foreclosure property there? We would probably like a larger home, but would be open to options.

Thanks!

Might be best to do a search on the area here ... You might just change your mind on the town you choose ..

Well, we went to Wilkes-Barre around 4 months ago just prior to Halloween and did a few Walking tours and did the bar scene. I like the bars in town a lot of night clubs geared toward people in their early 20s which we are. I also like the river it is pretty with the park on it's bank and the big bridge with the eagles. Someone told me back about crime in some parts of town, but I lived in Northern Detroit most of my life so nothing could be as bad as that.... We just like the people and had an all around good feeling during our stay here. Plus by moving our salaries will go from 28/hr to 45/hr a big difference for sure.

If you want walking distance to downtown, but a safe neighborhood, I would look in Kingston, right across the Market St Bridge from downtown W-B.

$48 an hour for what? That's really high for even healthcare...That just shy of a $100k a year for someone in their 20's here in NEPA. I don't buy it..

Sorry, but hey good luck to you..

This is an imposter or uniformed and gulllible and is in for a reality check. $45 an hour? Maybe you meant 45k per year? I could believe that but not 45 per hour.

I think they meant their combined wages will be $45/hr, but I could be wrong.
