Hello, I should know the answer to this since I grew up here. But, I suppose I do not because I have never looked before. I recently relocated back to the area. Where I was living before had a great selection of ethic restaurants. After moving back I have found myself craving the Vietnamese and Mediterranean food I was able to enjoy there. Does anyone know of any Vietnamese and/or Mediterranean restaurants located within say 30 miles of the Wyoming Valley? Thank you in advance for your suggestions!

I have found a Mediterranean restaurant in the Wyoming Valley! Its called Kizimi's (www.kizimis.com) (broken link). Its at 239 Schuyler Ave in Kingston. I had the opportunity to try their Falafel Pita and Gyro which where very tasty. I also tried the soup of the day which was actually not Mediterranean, but it was still very good; it was a southwestern chicken soup with a very thick and creamy texture.

I will give you all a holler if I locate a Vietnamese style restaurant.

I'm also a lifelong resident of Luzerne County, but I don't dine out very frequently. Being an Italian, most of our family's Friday nights are split between pizzerias in Old Forge and Pittston, so I haven't had much of an opportunity to dabble in ethnic cuisine. I happen to love Katana in Wilkes-Barre, as well as La Tolteca near the Wyoming Valley Mall, but that's about the extent that my pallete has experienced so far! LOL!
