I was wondering if there was any areas in the Poconos to go striper fishing? If so anywhere I can drop in a small bass boat 10 foot Pelican Bass Raider with a 5hp and catch these fish. Share a good fishing spot with keepers.... Anyone???

Never caught one or fished for one. Here is a PA link that might help: PFBC Striped Bass Feature Page
I think they might be too big for me. I already had a 12 to 14 inch trout that almost took out my left eye. Something as big as a striper would probably take off my head!

Have you googled stripersonline? Might be helpful. I dunno because I like my fish on a plate with mashed potatoes and stewed tomatoes.

On the other hand, wait till the race comes to town and you can have all the "strippers" you can shake a pole at.

LOL...I am a member of Stripersonline.com

There are stripers in the Delaware river, lake wallenpaupak(?), and Raystown lake southwest of Harrisburg.

Mangan Cove off of rte 590 by the dam has a launch on Lake Wallenpaupack. Your boat is a little small so be careful, best time to fish for stripers is at night with herring/alwives (not sure how to spell) or large top water jerk baits. The cove to the left of launch ramp is a good place to start. Good luck!
