well, my opinion is that you couldn't be luckier to find yourself centered around cresco. the cresco/mountainhome/canadensis/buck hill falls/skytop area is, in my opinion, by far the most beautiful bit of the poconos. it's a quick hop to stroudsburg, and though you'd live in a very small-town area, you'd never be more than 10 minutes from everything you could possibly want to buy.

I live in Greentown but when i first moved into PA i lived in Mountainhome. The school district is Barrett township. They have there own elemementary school and middle school. The Area of cresco is really nice. There is a community there called Mill creek estates that has nice really nice homes for about 150-300k range. the major road 390 runs thru cresco mountainhom and to greentown on that road you will find everything from a bowling alley, cvs and supermarket.

The major reason i moved to greentown was the taxes in barrett are really almost double then greentown. the commute from greentown to cresco is about 20 mintues. I also liked greentown cause of being a little more seculed. If you have any question message me
