I did know this existed! Next time I am in town I will definitely check it out. Where on Rutter Ave?

These suggestions are good! Canteen 900 looks interesting. I think MrsP would go for the build-your-own flatbread sandwich. I'll run Perugino's by her. And I'm afraid Aurants may be a little too edgy for us.

I'm sure we could have a good lunch at one of the chain restaurants, but since we're going to be four hours from home I'd rather have something different than we could get here any day (and we seem to have just about all of the chains here).

Thanks, and let me know if you come up with any others!

BBQ By Barry is really good in West Pittston, but you have to be in the mood.

Right off the expressway(from Wilkes-Barre direction) behind Maine Source. In the same building as Sakari Solon.

Good to see the interest in 'real' local places. Chains are... well, chains and... for us a true last resort if we have time to look.

The Internet has been a true boon to finding good/interesting local restaurants (and other businesses) when traveling. I regularly run into people who are 'passing through' at places they would never find/try without the Internet and its tools. Nice...

Cork in Wilkes-Barre is nice, but I don't know if they're open for lunch that day.
