Don't you think it's gone too far? Its time for some serious change...and we NEED a recall procedure to get people with longer (4+ year) terms out of office for being corrupt!

Its starts at the local level and just gets bigger as you go higher. Good luck with it. I have been probably the most out spoken on this form in reagrds to the local political corruption here in the Scranton are but there are those on this site that seem to think that corruption doesn't exist here in Scranton or NEPA. Its unfortuante but the area is controled by one party and that party is controlled by a select few. The republican party has not had any strength in this are for many years now and what would be considered a republican candidate is just a dem in repub clothes doing the dirty work for his party.

No corruption has ever been proven, despite numerous accusations and supposed proof. Conspiracy theories abound about secret societies rivalling the Masons and Templars, but there's no real evidence of any sort of "network" influence.

Sure your right. 100's of millions of dollars being passed around and there is no corruption. I wonder if Cordaro and Chuck Constanzo feel the same way. I'm sorry wasn't he arrested for embezzling county funds and using them improperly? The secret service did impound his Caddy from Burney and thats fact. He is under investigation and he is charged and he is going to trial so we'll see. It must be nice to live in a Norman Rockwell painting and the fairy tale world you see everyday. I figured this thread would bring you out your bubble.

My kids could put this one together so I'm confident that the secret service will be able to link Chuckie to his "very close friend" Bob Cordaro. Chuck did start the business right after Bob was elected and he did get the county workmens comp contracts from his "close friend" didn't he?

You just cited one case that has not resulted in any charges (to this point) against an elected official (hence, no PROVEN political corruption, outside of your opinion). That's some fine police work there, Lou. What other "corruption" can your kids blow the lid off of and prove indisputably?

When Cordaro is charged with a crime, I'll concede that he might be corrupt. Until then, his associate is the only one being found to be corrupt. If Doherty, et al, are ever charged with the ramant corruption that you like claiming but can't prove and apparently no one else is acting upon, then maybe I'll rethink my position.

Cordaro may not have been found corrupt by a court of law, but there is def. a sense of corruption that surrounds him. Just by the way he comes off and the people that surround him. They say birds of a feather flock together and that's the feeling I get from Costanzo and Cordaro. But to me it doesn't matter what he is, he's not in public office anymore and the people must feel the same way too because they voted him out. As for political corruption, it is everywhere, not just in NEPA. New York City govt. is very corrupt and I heard the govt. down in New Orleans has had it's share of corruption. So it's not limited to just here.
