We've been to Settler's Inn a couple of times and thought the food was very good. Service was good too.

Just booked a room there for next month for our anniversary. Have you stayed there as well as eaten there? Looks really nice and the reviews are good.

I keep hearing that AuRants in Duryea is among the best in NEPA. Has anyone been there that can give me a first hand review?

Yes, it's well worth a visit. Eclectic menu, especially for NEPA, but if you have a diverse palate and like good food, you should enjoy it.

I've never been, but my #3 son and his wife have eaten at AuRant's frequently. They insist it's worth a visit.

I'm reading all of these posts with delectable delight! I will be visiting someone in PA next year so I can't wait to try some of these places. I'm a vegan though, so does anyone have any ideas I can coax my friend to take me to that offers great vegan entrees??

There is a place in Scranton on Adams Ave called Eden A Vegan, very good menu.

Most chain restaurants in the region have a vegetarian selection available, even strictly vegan. Call the restaurant ahead of time. If you are visiting in the Scranton area, you may want to consider a side trip to Ithaca, NY, less than 100 miles away, to eat at the world famous Moosewood Restaurant (Moosewood Restaurant | Moosewood Restaurant & Recipes | Ithaca, NY). Though not 100% vegan, every day they have many different vegan entrees. Lots of other things to see in Ithaca, too.
