My wife and infant daughter are moving to Dingman's Ferry at the end of December from New York. Are there places, events, gatherings that mom's with kids go to? The area is so beautiful, but I imagine for someone coming in from the "outside" it could be a little difficult to make new friends. Also, are there any Catholic churches nearby? Thanks for your help. Looking forward to our new life and new neighbors. Charlie Angel

Try calling the 2 Catholic churches in Milford, and seeing if they have any social groups.

We are trying to get a group together in the area as well. I will be in Lackawaxen in the early spring. It doesn't matter if you are in Dingman's Ferry or Hawley, we can still meet in the middle!!! If you want to get together, let me know! So far, I have SWB, and Pensypat interested in going out for lunch in the upcoming spring!
We are also originally from NY/NJ! We are moving back up from Florida.
We have had enough of it! We miss our family and friends very badly

Hi there,

We're moving to Milford soon (hopefully should all go well with the sale of our home) and I'd love to join your group if you don't mind.

Have you guys found (or know of) where some shopping is in the area?? We've found the walmart and stuff in Matamoras, but I'm interested in finding a grocery other than Mr Z's.

Thanks,
Michelle

Price Chopper is in Matamoras, Shop Rite is in Montague, NJ (next town over from Milford, right across the Delaware River).

Oh dear. Does this make me the only male lined up thus far? I guess I'll certainly have the ladies crawling all over me (it's not like the've been lining up to get a piece of me lately anyways! LOL!)

We'll be moving into our new home by Jan.1st. It would be nice to meet others with small children. Let me know when you'll be moving in and perhaps a group of us can get together to meet/greet in January (suggestions as to where? perhaps somewhere in Milford?)
