Does anyone happen to have any photos of the place? I would love to see it again. I have so many memories. Now what's weird is that I go to Planet Fitness there regularly and I can't help but think this is where the Giant used to be and I have so many memories of the place. I keep imagining myself as a little kid in different spots in there. Sigh.

I moved to this area in 1975. At that time, I recall part(?) of the plaza was enclosed. We lived on the West Side and the stores we needed were over here so we didn't have much reason to go to the plaza. I can't remember what stores were there so I can't even offer a mental picture.

I remember the enclosed "Pittston Mall" as early as the early-1990's when I was a very young child. I remember there was an Old River Road Bakery, Staircase Lounge, Savo's, McCrory's, Giant, K-Mart, a hair salon, a convenience store, and a few other places. It's sad to see the way the Bypass Corridor has declined over the years as the Route 315 Corridor has stolen its thunder. I lived in Jenkins Township until 1996 when we moved to Pittston Township. I worked at Redner's Market for a few years. Good times!

I remember the plaza well. The big store was Grant's before it became K-Mart. There was a donut shop, and a clothing store called May's, before it became Fashion Bug. There was also a Thrift Drug.

Wow! That must be going back. I worked at K-mart beginning in the late spring of 1979 and can only remember it always being a K-Mart.
Thinking back, I can remember there being: Salvo's / The Staircase Lounge (right next to K-Mart), Fashion Bug, A Hallmark store, a little arcade, Radio Shack, an ice cream joint, a record store, & the big grocery store at the opposite end from K-Mart. The rest of the stores escape me.

The record store was none other than Gallery of Sound. The arcade was Davey's Mine, and that was my first real intro to video games when i was like 5 years old or even younger. That's where I got my first taste of Donkey Kong, Dig Dug, and all those classics.

My 21st birthday was at the Staircase while it was still there before it moved to the bypass. Memoriessssss.
